Again, there is nothing in the brew references I usually use, namely Wheeler's "Brew Your Own British Real Ale" and Szamatulski's "Clone Brews", so I turned to the interweb for inspiration. If you actually apply the figures from his table you need 50% more hops, and if you apply that to his recipes in "Brew your own British Real Ale", it shows the recipes up as nowhere near what they should be. Includes brewing instructions for both novice and more advanced home-brewers, as well as comprehensive recipes for recreating some of Britain's best-loved beers at home. The usual, unfortunately: work, kids, life, sleep, or the above-mentioned lack thereof. This new edition is re-written, enhanced and updated with new recipes. The book I was following the recipe from (Brew Your Own British Real Ale by Graham Wheeler, CAMRA Books, 2009, 3rd Edition) recommended leaving the beer to mature one week for every 0.01 of original gravity.
